Mostly only a few words about Terry's beautiful eulogy. I will now pray for someone like Terry Thomas to write a few meaningful and thoughtful comments about my life, and a few notes about my most treasured assets, those few relationships with others that made me laugh, cry(now that I am a "bigboy"), and from time to time actually experience T'kun O'lam, (a responsibility that has been passed along from long ago to help REPAIR a Broken World.)

Tom and I were not close during our school days, although we did share the infamous 0-14 basketball season at Lima Central under Mr. Kohler during our 9th grade escapades. I believe we are still in the record book for that accomplishment! I am certain Tom and I had some laughs during that season, and more laughs than total points scored together throughout that memorable piece of Winter history, not that long ago, really. Wish I had, and knew how to use one of those scanners (that, back then would have even amazed, Mr. Kohn, our Biology teacher who thought he knew it all; and probably did) so that I could send along the photo of one of my memories with Tom, the 9th grade basketbal team photo that sits under the glass covering my desk.

Tom and I engaged in at least one of my "bad boy" activities during our school days. Unlike Terry's comment about Tom and his "beer" boys borrowing a few car parts to complete Tom's auto project, I shall not make mention of the very minor adventure into the "dark side" of Lima that we shared. I think that from the that point on. Tom knew better than to venture any further with me into a few more silly experiments on what could we really get away with! So proud that he went on to protect our country!!

May Tom Conner's family, and closest friends ,continue to honor and celebrate his life; and that his Memory be a reminder to all of us..Be Kind, and Pay it Forward.

Be Well

Arnold,......now at home on the "Left Coast" making our way through mud and burned out hiking trails  throughout the beautiful mountains that surround Santa Barbara until u get to the Pacific on our South that is sometimes so polluted that one should not even surf those waves, perhaps just more to be done around helping to "repair a broken world."

The VENUE HAS CHANGED!! Due to scheduling difficulties Hawthorne Hills was not able to accommodate us. Colonial Golf Course is our new site with a shotgun at 9 AM. A usually wonderful layout. Colonial is about 5 miles from the Howard Johnson hotel. As a graduate of Lima Senior High, I am sure you have an app, some other device, or even a good old fashioned paper map that will get you the. It is officially in Harrod,

Ohio,10985 Harding Hwy
Harrod, OH 45850-7416
United States
Toll Free: (800) 234-7468

Please try to be there by 8:30 AM and advance to pro shop for payment of $29 green fee (including cart). You may wish to get there a bit earlier and have some coffee and bullshit a little. Don't forget to bring along an extra $5 for the tourney to be paid to Rick Miller. (prizes galore!) Pairings and cards will be received by 8:43. I will make every effort to place you with whom (or is it who Ms. Ginrich, G-d rest her sole) you have requested. I hope to share pairings on the website prior to that date.

We encourage all classmates to come out and have coffee at 8:30 or a coke or a beer upon finishing, probably around 1:30 PM. You are also invited to meet us out on the course for some good laughs. You may go to pro shop and request a cart, I do not know what the charge may be, or just take a stroll and find us, or sit at the 9th green and watch from green side. We have heard that there might be some "notables" from our class including our Mighty Spartan, and others from classes other than our own that will be arriving to cheer us on. All are welcome.

Since I received the honor of helping to put this together I am naming the event the 1ST Ron Line Memorial. He was a dear friend of mine that provided a lot of laughs, and often an uninvited "golf tip."
He played on our golf team and was a joy to be around. I hope no one objects. (If so, take it to say Mr. Barber, or you know what else you can do with it!!))

A few thought from one of my favorites, LEE TREVINO

When I'm on a golf course and it starts to rain and lightning, I hold up my one iron, 'cause I know even God can't hit a one iron.

No one who ever had lessons would have a swing like mine.

You don't know what pressure is until you've played for five dollars a hole with only two in your pocket.

I'm in the woods so much I can tell you which plants are edible.

It's the most fun I've ever had with my clothes on.

So.....stretch, breathe, and play more golf no matter what
Looking froward to see all July 17 at Colonial Hills Golf Club

ok Steve, sorry that we are going to miss you guys on the links, I was looking forward to seeing "what you got." at Hawthorne

We are looking at Friday morning golf around 9 or 10 am at either Colonial or Hawthorne, near Howard Johnson's. Green fees including cart is $30. I must give the course adequate notice if we want tee times for a "group." So, around the middle of June will be the "deadline" for confirming golf. I will determine if there is enough interest to move ahead. Let me know at ajspechler@cox.net or 805-895-2079
